Lemonade Cleanse Day 1

October 20, 2007

So I started the lemonade clease today.
Kinda crazy.
So you start the day with a salt water flush (you drink a quart of salt water)
Tried not to throwup and made it.
So now for 10 days (supposedly) I only drink the following concoction
Fresh squezed lemons
Maple syrup
Cayenne pepper
and water

all mixed together

it is 4 pm and I have done well so far, have not cheated
Starting to get a massive headache from caffine withdrawls but other than that I am good.
A couple hunger pains but besides that I am cool

I will update daily hopefully if I can type.

Peace out
Give me some love to I will need it

August 10, 2007

So last night I went out with my family to celebrate 60 years of marriage for my grandparents.  These two are the anchors of our family, and it was great to sit around the table with family in celebration. My grandfather has Alzheimer’s  pretty bad, and did not know much of what was going on, but it was just amazing to see these 2 together for another year.60 years is a long damn time.  I only  got 55 more to go.  Pray for me lol

Hurt Wrist

August 9, 2007

So mason has been in gymnastics camp this week and I got a call yesterday that she had fallen off the trapeze and hurt her wrist.  So I went and picked her up early and took her home.  It is nothing to take her to the hospital about, I think she just twisted it, but still I think she twisted it pretty good.  Here is the funny part though. When I got home Mason was coming out of the bathroom, with her pants around her ankles, asking for help because it hurt to bad for her to pull them up herself.  Then “Johnny on the Spot” (as Christine dubbed him last night) Miles yelled “I’ll do it!!”.  He then ran over and started yanking her pants up as hard as he could, like a mom would trying to get them up as high as possible. He was taking this very seriously , but Christine, Mason, and I could not stop laughing. It was great.  He just loves his big sister so much he would even help her pull her pants up after she goes to the toilet. And one more thing, he usually goes to the rest room with her just so he can flush the toilet.Ah. The joys.

Miles is 2

August 4, 2007

So my son turned 2 yesterday  (my wife is pretty sad), but we had his party today.  It was pretty sweet.  Lots of kids and lots of cool parents, my dad, stepmom, and 2 sisters drove in from Austin just for an hour and a half for the party, nice guys.

I woke up at around 7 left the house at 730 and went to go get the 18 foot inflatable  slide, and my new truck paid off cuz I don’t think I could have gotten it in my Civic.  The only problem was the thing must have weighed 400 lbs.  Luckily Adonis, a huge guy was at the church to help me get it out and set up and it worked, proud of myself.

Then the party, sliding, shooting baskets, talking, eating cupcakes, it was fun.

Home now finished opening all the presents.

Lots of Diego stuff, a workbench, a really cool Noah’s ark set, and a sweet teepee tent, Miles freaked out when I got it set up.

All in all a good day.

Thank You

July 17, 2007

So today I had a rough day at work.

Rough day, and I had the daunting task of putting the kids to sleep by myself.  Those of you with kids know how this can go, it is like a whirlwind.

When it seems like it is only going to get worse God can put the perfect people in your life to lift your spirits.

Tonight it was my children.

I picked them up to take them to eat.  And this is when my day started to get a little brighter.

My daughter is 3 and a half and talks a lot.  I mean non stop, like your head is spinning when she is in the back seat just talkie, talkie, talkie.   So this is when my day turned, I am quoting.

Mason says “I love the smell of flowers they smell like fingernails and toenails.”

Profound right?  This just made me laugh out loud.

She then decided she wanted to say some prayers.

Quote : Thank you God for Jesus, Thank you God for God, Thank you God for cars, thank you God for trees, Thank you God for stores, Thank you God for grass . . .

This went on for about five minutes . . . other things we thank God for

-people, grownups, smaller people, clouds, rain, etc

All followed up by an AMEN!

Then we get to eat and my son gets food on his shirt and demands he needs to take his shirt off, over and over again.

So all in all this day has been brightened by my kids, lets just hope the bathing, reading, and putting to sleep keeps me smiling.

Thank you God for letting me father this innocence, which I wish I still had.
